Kraftwurx is Powered by Digital Factory™ from Digital Reality and is platform independent. Kraftwurx can handle a large number of file formats. We have outlined the file formats we accept below as well as general file format information from the industry. Note, some file formats are note available yet (denoted in the section titled Coming Spring 2012).
Supported 3D Printing File Formats.
Kraftwurx accepts the following file formats through our upload utility:
- PLY - Stanford Polygon File Format Wikipedia Link
- STL Stereo Lithographic data format used by various CAD systems and virtually all 3D printers.
- OBJ Alias Wavefront .obj file format (.obj)
- QOBJ - Quad Object File Format
- OFF OFF Object file format (.off)
- DAE - COLLADA (.dae)
- VRML - Virtual Reality Markup Language (.wrl)
- X3D - X3D Extensible 3D (.x3d)

Most software for 3D modeling and design will export one or more file formats supported above. Kraftwrux will be adding support for Solidworks and others in the near future.
