Completely new to 3D printing but not new to 3D modeling. I have a figurine type of object that is around 1.6 million faces. The model is smooth in zBrush and the downloaded obj model from my account at this site is smooth but the rendered preview is very low poly with no facial features.

Exported as obj with uv map and uploaded. Preview shows colors just low detail.

Am I doing something fundamentally wrong here or is the model preview resolution detail low on the product page?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

You are doing everything correctly! The 3d viewer in-site purposely displays a low-polygon version of the model. This is to speed up the viewing process and also to prevent theft of your original high-polygon model straight from the 3d viewer. The same thing is true for the color map. You can trust the model that is 3d printed upon order is the full resolution, full polygon count model that you uploaded.
